Ok, we are both right and here's why. Major oversight on my part.

I forgot there are people out there with their fans programmed to come on at the stock settings. Seriously, do yourself a favor man and get some programming.

For the case of my car and just about anyone else with programming, if you are sitting in a staging lane for any period of time idling your fans would be running anyways, and running the AC WILL increase the temperatures slightly. Of course i'm talking about a retarded track like beaver springs and not one where an intelligent person designed the track like the downhill (read motor off roll) staging lanes of maple grove .

I just have a hard time believeing all these post about huge gains/losses when there are SO many variables at the track.
