1/4 mile time?

What are the 1/4 mile numbers for a bone stock a4? ( a 94 with 79k if that has any affect on the time, but i doubt it does)

Mid to low 14's @ 97-98 depending on weather/traction/weight.

The gears will be more important in the equation.

3.23s or 2.73s?

Re: 1/4 mile time?

Can you select the first gear in your car or not? If you cannot you have 2.73's.

Yep. 3.23s are better for acceleration, so hopefully you've got em.

Like he said, if you can see "1" on your gear selector then you have 3.23s. Cars equipped with the 2.73s can only shift as low as "2".

If you want to investigate further, the little sticker in the glove box has all the option codes your car was built with. If you see GU5 on there with all the other codes, you have 3.23s.

Another way to tell is 3.23's 1st gear ends about 38mph and 2nd about 82mph.

Re: 1/4 mile time?

I had a 93 z28 rock stock that went 14.1 at 98mph.
