1/4 mile improvements with SLP 2OTL
1/4 mile improvements with SLP 2OTL
I did a search and didn't find the answer to this question.
What kind of gains have you guys seen with putting this catback on a stock LT1? It's going to be my only modification (for a little while) and I was hoping to see about a one tenth/one mph improvement in my quarter mile times.
Does this sound about right, or would I see more than this?
Also, does anyone have any pics of what this catback looks like on a Formula?

Dont' know about times, but it is a very free flowing system. Before the Loudmouth, it was probably the highest flowing cat back that SLP made (straight in/out). Seems like it has to be worth a little.
I believe it was the optional exhaust on the 1997 Comp T/A.

he has a sound clip too, cept it's an LS1. His tips are kinda crooked too.
I have it on my formy and love it, looks and sound. All the picture on my site still have the old borla.
I haven't tracked mine since I put it on, but i also added headers so it won't matter. .1/1mph is all i'd hope for though.

A catback will/should help if that is where the greatest restriction is. If the major restriction is in the exhaust headers then I would not expect any gain, but it would probably sound much better.

i like how my 2OTL sounds! cant comment on the performance but its so small and light weight that i cant see that muffler being very restrictive. now with a cutout at the track i gained 1-2 mph but that was with a different catback.

This reminds me of another question. How much lighter is this catback compared to the stock setup? It must save a few pounds.
