•••øøø Weird Noise Please Help øøø•••

i'm sorry if this has been asked before
i didn't know what to search for
My 1994 Z28 is making weird noises from the front of the car, not sure its from engine or drivetrain
noise occurs when i left off the gas in gear, like cruising down a hill or something
cars an A4, if i let off the gas the car makes the noise most of the time
if i hit the gas at all, even just a little bit, the noise stops
i tried putting car in neutral down hills and other location when i take foot off the gas, no noise whilke car in neutral, just when cars in OD or D
its hard to explain
anyone have any ideas at all?
if i can answer any questions please post them
i have not the slightest idea whats wrong

thank you for your time

sounds like a bad rubbing or hitting of metal together
almost sounds like drive shaft hitting something
sounds to me like some piece if metal hitting some other metal piece thats in its way, like something maybe out of place, but car only does it when gas isn't ingauged
thanks

ive never had a troll in the front of my car but you def need to check things like the driveshaft, transmission, and torque converter if it only happens when you are in gear. take it to a shop and figure that one out before your tranny falls out of your car

I wonder if it is the catback hitting your crossmember and when you hit the gas it flexes the exhaust and is nolonger hitting it.Mine did that.Look under your car and see how much clearence is there.

i vote tranny mount. mine did it too. replaced tranny mount and it suddenly stopped. bought the autozone el-cheapo and two weeks later noise is back. going to get a gm part next. i am obviously going to wear out my bolts changing this piece constantly.
