*Possible* Mystery hesitation fix

After several months of trying to find why my 95 z28 had developed a roug idle, and sometimes back firing through the intake

.. followed with a hesitation from lower rpms after it warmed up that got better during mid range and then started missing right before gear change. From time to time is was like the motor was not even running. It got to the point to where the motor was hesitating to the point it was affecting the the shifts of the car. Auto ECM I presume was seeing the motor not where it should be at and was loosing its cookies and would wait for it to halfway know where its at to shift out right.

After the following:

Plugs, Plug wires, Opti, TB cleaning, EGR cleaning, Sensors checked and replaced that were needed. Ignition contol module that attacted to the coil, new coil... And the problem was still there.

I simply was looking at the wiring harness that splits to two connectors that plugs into the coil and noticed two of the wires over the years had gotton so hot they were hard as a rock.

Took a razor blade, scraped back the insulation and the wires were coroded. I took the time to remove some other parts to get a decent length of the harness in front of me and I *WAITED TILL I COULD GET SOME TRUE AIRCRAFT TYPE BUTT CONNECTORS WITH HEAT SHRINK* to rebuild that harness. None of this Autozone, Advance auto parts bull**** ..

Cranked it up.... Car is my little beast again

Now to do the passenger side exhaust header gasket.

My theory is this.. I found my problem at that area... What if some of you may not have this problem right at that point? Maybe deeper into the harness.

One key to this im a 95... Most folks having this problem are 93, 94, 95 and 96'ers.. However, there are some 97's in there.. the number is fewer.. Less 96's too. Why? Its wiring.. over time heat is causing this. The newer the car less numbers because they have not had time to develop this.

Hope this helps some of you.
