$650 for junkyard LT1?

$650 for junkyard LT1?

i found an LT1 in a junkyard today. they want $650 for it, is that a good price? it looked like it was in OK condition. around here there pretty hard to find.

it's in a 96 caprice if that helps.

that junkyard is steep!..out here any engine is 100 bucks even..including ls1's =)

sheesh, they are really proud of em here, lt1 in junkyard i was quoted 1200-1600 depending on mileage of the wreck. Mine is getting rebuilt as I type this.

i paid 500 for a complete running iron head LT1. It came with all accessories, pcm and harness. I think that is a decent price i wouldn't pay much over that for one because you are still going to need iron heads.

100$ ? For a LT1 ? never heard of it , 600$ aint steep as long as it runs

100 dollars for a LS1 ? B.S ....................thats rediculous man , where are you from ? I wanna check it out !

I sold my 94 LT1 motor with 160,000 miles on it for $1100 I guess it depends on what part of the country your in.

lt1 engine

I sold my engine for $300. It was the longblock. i need to mention that it knocked like someone was beating there head against the fender.

Just my imput....

Exactly , it was knocking ! you couldnt even get a knocking LS1 for 100 dollars
