I got $600 to kill off on my car, what should I get or should I just start saying up for a SC. BTW is a 10-bolt rear end gridle kit with 4.11 worth it or not?

WIth your setup I would hook up the rear end or suspension significantly if I were you. Get an adjustable torque arm, Nice Corvettte Rims, or somthing like control arms and bushing kit etc. Things like that will make your car awesome. get some B-quiet for $150 and soundproof and detail your car yourself while you have the interior out. Then install with a 100 doller carpet and armorall everyhting. your car will have less noise and be aweosme and a pleasure to drive. BIGGEST BANG FOR BUCK CHASSIS MOD: SUB FRAME CONNECTORS !!! GEt a set welded on the right away, all the way from one frame to another and all along the bdy. I got an awesome set for like $50 from these guys. I think the prices went up a little but not much and they are awesome quality parts.

good stuff. I have the control arms and panhard rod from this place. Their subframes rock too*

I recommend a BMR strut brace. they can be had for cheap and are the basic stable design that is used for our cars. Color of your choice is available. I have one and its a tight piece that installs in 5 minutes literally.

I hope all of these things give you some good ideas. Your car will be awesome too some day son.

and if you want to hook up the rear end then instead of using 2200 to get a new 12 bolt then take the 600 and get a nice strong posi unit and a real T/A cover with the preoad studs that go through the cover to push on the bearing caps. KEEP THE 3.73's Incase you ever make your car very powerful you will want to stick with those.

4.11's also put more stress on a 10 bolt rear and it will BITE THE DUST FAST with them most likely. I'm sure people run them but i'm saying if you get a power adder later on you dont want to pay twice for a gear job that costs like 600 dolalrs etc.

so you recomend he rips out the carpet, put soundproofing in, then buy new carpet as a mod...hmm... interesting. How well does that stuff work anyways; is it worth the time and money??

I would suggest suspension and sticker tires also. Then if your going to slap a sc on her I'd get a 12-bolt first right after the suspension and tire mods.

Talking

Hah I was thorwing out ideas. I mean He did ask for that and that is a project that i have done and is awesome.

I want my car to be MINE and all mine. I wanted my interior to not have those little frenchfries and crust where you normally can barely reach.

I took my whole interior out which is quite easy. (convertible) Both seats come right out and the belts then the console. There isn't much more holding it down and it goes fast. In three days I laid down 200Sq Ft. ( I think) of B quiet extreme especially on the passenger side tunnel where it gets very hot on the floor from the exhaust, the doors got as much as would fit for thickness and the rear around the rear suspension got a double or triple layer. I meticulously did around all the speaker holes and double thick behind them. Now I can safely say I have a quieter then normal F-body and it took care of i'd say 50% of the odd squeeks and rattles that are embarassing when PImping a lady in the ride.... I also got a chance to clean everything and detail it. my car lost any retained smell from over the years and its just nice.

YES i would say it is worth it but this guy needs a rear end. I think he should put the money into suspension or the rear first

Best run for your money. Get

NIce used ceramic coated headers off ebay $250

MAgnaflow Exhaust 100% stainless catback $250

catco converter $60

HAve it welded up.

BAMMMMMM

THIS IS POSSIBLE be cause these are the prices I payed. I got bbk headers and the flange is so thick I have a broken header stud and they hold fine without it! And I also got my magnaflows form ehre and I swear it is better then a BORLA It sounds better, looks better, is cheaper, less pieces, less restricted mostly!

the choice is up to you guy. Spend wisely and you can get alot! I got these deals why cant you?

Pacesetter Longtubes, ory (then weld a single high flow catco cat after it for emmisions), and madz28 tune.

Bam!

400 for headers, 60 for cat, 30 for welding, and 125 for PCM tune.

Thats gonna be the best bang for your buck. You will definately notice a BIG difference. Easily worth 30 rwhp.

Pacesetters are supposidly easy to install, its my next project.
