$500 to spend - opinions please

Only current mods I have are, AS&M CAI, Flowmaster catback, and a 160 stat.

Im going to drop about 500 bucks into it, what would you do? If you think headers tell me which ones you recommend. I also have emissions.

With the mods you currently have I'd say there are two possiblities. It all depends on how mechanically inclined you are....you could get some 3.73 gears and a shiftkit (B&M or Transgo), but if you had to pay for installation you might be over 500. The other option would be to get some good shorties or midlengths, and some plugs & wires. That's just my .02

For $500, rear gears 3.73s with a Eaton Posi. It will work well with your A4.

Alright, Im most likely going to go with gears... 3.42 that fits 2 series carriers (since i have 2.73s) What else is needed?

ThunderRacing.com
Strange Pro-Street Gears, 3.42 Gear Ratio, 2 series carrier, GM 7.5" 10 bolt rear end $225

Good?

It might be easier for you to find a whole used rear with a 3 series carrier and a 3.42 gear already installed than buy a 2 series gear for your car.
