$1000 to spend, what should i get???

i have $1000 to spend and im thinking of getting a 3000 stall, and some LCA's. i know i would benefit from headers and gears but i want to keep my car as a sleeper, in other words a stock looking engine bay. recommend me a t/c and some LCA's, or should i spend my $$ elsewhere?? i was quoted $429 for a Hughes 3000 stal, are these any good?

Get some headers... Rockers, cam .... and call it a day....

Sleeping is all your going to be doing if you keep that Clunky Junky HP ropping stock manifold on there....

Skip the LCA's .... unless you fell that you need them... bu other wise get some power first....

I see you got an Auto... yea gp for the stall and headers

i totally agree that getting headers, gears, cam, and rockers would really get me some HP but i need to stay within my $1000 budget which i would still need for installation. of course if i get headers thats $500, gears $200, cam $250, rockers $300 which puts me around $1200 and i still need to get the gears and cam installed, not to mention a good PCM tune. i was really leaning towards the headers though cuz i can install them myself and have $$ leftover.

Whoah, $300 for rockers? I paid $160. Guy on ebay sells Proform aluminum 1.6 RR's. Yea, they aren't as good as steel, but hey, they ain't shabby.

I think the best thing you can do for $1000, on a near stock auto, is install a Vigilante 2800 and a TransGo shift kit.

I agree with Will84 100%. Go with the PI 2800 converter & shift kit.
