Thumbs down $$265 for motor???

ok, talking about a new window motor. Just got an estimate to get my driver side window motor replaced. The motor cost 165 and labor was 60. I know I can get one from autobarn for like 60 dollars but this guy will only work with gm parts. He said that they have alot of trouble with those other motors, that they need to do work to get them to fit. What do u guys think?

I think you should go buy the $60 motor or get one wholesale priced from Jason Cromer...

Then save the $$ and put it in yourself using Shoebox's guide..

Amen to that.... takes 30 min if you've never done it before... that howto guide worked perfectly. Autozone has the motors for $52, at least here in Florida thats what I paid.

Exclamation

Yup, $50 at Autozone, and it works great.

Follow shoebox's install guide, and it shouldn't take more than an hour or two to do it; mine took maybe an hour and a half, including the time it took to drag the tools out to do it and put everything away. It's not hard at all to do it yourself.
