Zo6 motor conversion
well for starters, it wouldn't be necessary to swap the whole motor if you're just looking for an LS6, the heads, cam, intake are the only differences i believe and obviously for the best performance gains you'd need a dyno-tune but i'd imagine it wouldn't run *that* poor with out it.
What CP said. If I'm not mistaken, Pace Performance offers an upgrade package for around $2000-$2500 depending on the model year.
Go to PacePerformance.com.
An entire engine is around $7000. A short block is about $5500.

I agree with the other guys. Spend less than a true LS6 would cost, get a good heads/cam package, and you'll surpass the Z06
. FWIW, when I was at the track last Friday (ran my **new best** time), there was a guy with a Z06 running only 13.2!!
So compared to my 13.4, that's not all that far off......
...............except, it was only the guy's 2nd run with the car ever, so I think there was a lot of room for improvement in his driving probably!!
But even still, all you're looking for is "roughly" a ~50HP improvement, and heads/cam should get you that!
