ZL1 Camaro

I saw the photos of the now scrapped proto type Ls6 powered camaro. I liked the old zl1 style bow tie on the billet grille. does anyone know where I can pick these up?

I do belive that was a new emblem reminiscent of the old one. You can get a similar one from yearone as above mentioned.

They didnt scrap the cars themslefs, But never it never made it to a production vehicle as some magazines of pre-fbody-demise suggusted. Its good too cause if they were gonna bring back a hallowed option like that, it had better been a much stronger car than the one they built.

LS6 versions were around $62,000 and 427 versions were around $90,000 , depending on options. I am not kidding or exaggerating.

There were a couple 427 ZL1's on the Power Tour last week. In fact I think the yellow # 46 was one of them. The other was Hugger Orange if I remember correctly. (So many cars... I hit overload by day 3)

That yellow one really screamed. He had a dealer sticker displayed showing a price tag of just over 95,000.

It was funny how the ZL1 owners were cool and friendly and the 360/385 Berger owner's seemed snooty. My stock SS (345 package) dynoed at 317/322 in Jackson,Mississippi. That would make it around 350-360 at the flywheel. They got ripped!

We all seemed to get along driving a buck 25 though.

JasonD is about right on the money as far as prices go.

2002Z28SSConv. Wasn't right on the money though. I believe a yellow one was there but is wasn't #46. Or at least it had better not been.

THe ZL1 with 4.56 got 22-24 mpg on that power tour.
600 and a/c with that kind of gas milage. AWeSOMe.

46,56, something like that anyway. I guess I need to get those pictures developed. And the sticker did say 95,xxx. Sorry if it didn't match yours. He must have got something you didn't.

The dyno was part of the Power Tour. Castrol Syntec paid for it.
