Z28, water leak..condensation, heater valve?

Hello all, new to camaro ownership so good to be on this forum with fellow owners.

Have a 98, Z28 auto which I'm liking very much. However, have noticed a small leak under the car (passenger side) towards the mid-back of the engine. It's defo water but can't trace where from. Not the water pump as that's at the front, unless the water is making it's way round to the back.

My mechanic had the car on a ramp today and said it was normal run off for water/condensation but I've not been driving with the a/c on so no sure.
Any ideas?

I've done a search and the main culprit appears to be the heater valve / water pump but not sure how to validate either.

Thanks in advance.

Are you having to add coolant? Is the coolant level going down? Is the car running noticably hotter?

Thanks.

The car is running at normal temp with no over heating etc. Not had to add any coolant either but only spotted the leak yesterday so not sure.

Is it leaking clear water or antifreeze? Sounds like condensation to me, maybe from the exhaust? But that's usually on the inside of the exhaust, just throwing some stuff out there

Thanks, could be right. It didn't do it all day yesterday thankfully. When it did, was clear water and I know that the coolant is green as I topped up when I first bought it. Coolant level is still ok.

Confused as I didn't think you could get condensation in that area.
