If it was a non-SLP optioned SS I belive the spring rate was a little firmer. If it had the SLP suspension he just replaced Eibachs with Eibachs.

The standard SS suspension was put on 01 and 02 Z28s. So your friends suspension is firmer then yours. If he had the optional SS suspension then it's even firmer. Either way $50 is a good deal and his suspension is different. It's not any lower though.

Check if he had the optional SS suspension.. else the springs are the same as the z28.

either way, you'll find better handling improvements if you improve your shocks.

Even the standard SS suspension would be better then the Z28 suspension of that year. It was either 00 or 01 when the Z28 and SS had the same standard suspension, I think it was 01.

2001 SS have the same springs as a base '98-'02 Z28 or T/A. SLP sells the same springs for $50 as well.

I know the 01s and 02s share suspension but you say 01-02 SSs came standard with the 98-02 Z28 springs. So in 01 and 02 they downgraded the SS suspension not upgraded the Z suspension?
