IMO rebadging your car something that it isn't is RICE. think about it... Type-R....

I bet your insurance company messed up your policy somehow.

On my insurance card it says Camaro Z28/SS, so I would assume my company probably charges very close premiums for both cars and they're in the same classification bracket, whereas a V6 Camaro would be in a different bracket.

Call your insurance company and ask them why they need to charge you $1,200 more than someone with a Z28.

Did you even really read what I said? If you had, you would have seen that we were saying the same thing. Calm down son.

It would be cheaper to buy an SS then make one. When applying pressure to the pedal on the right, both put a huge grin your face. You can't go wrong with either one.

yeah go with what ever you want. It is pointless argueing which car is better cause you wont get any consistant answers. People like me will say"get the ss because of the looks, better handling and better exhaust+ 17 inch rims and better tires." then the z28 guys will say. "it is no better performance wise the scoop is worthless, the exhaust is pretty much worthless, and it doesn't handle any better."
So i recomend to you to just go out and look at all the f body types test drive them all bring price in as a factor and make you choice. If you want to save money and get a z then just add a hood exhaust rims suspension and so on, just do that however i would not re badge it as an ss. To me there was just somthing special about the ss that i didn't feel with the z28, and i made my choice. The funny thing is i went on this board and asked about the defference between z28 and the ss before i went looking for one. most told me they were pretty much the same so i planned on a z. when i went to the dealer to test zs out i came across the ss and after driving many zs and one ss i couldn't believe people acutally told me there was practically no difference. I know ill get flamed for this post but i think you should try them both out.
