Can we just put a z06 MAF on our cars? What mods need to be done?

Re: Z06 Maf

i believe it has to be recalibrated as well as run a special connector to mate 2 different types of plugs together.

i had one on my LT1...seemed to help in top end...but it wasn't anything spectacular. if nothing else it's a cheaper replacement for teh factory if you ruin your stocker

Re: Z06 Maf

Not trying to jack, just a thought....

I noticed that the SLP 80 or 85 mm MAF sensor looks almost identical to the ZO6... Am I halusinating?? or did SLP just re-cal it and stick their name on it?

Re: Z06 Maf

there are only so many ways to make the same unit. so it's probably similar...hard to say.

but i know the zo6 doens't come with the screen.

here is the stock maf next to my old zo6 maf (has since gone bad)...nice difference

Re: Z06 Maf

I take it the ZO6 won't plug into the lid.... Adaptors?

I've got my MAF stuck right into my lid. -the only place I could put it.

Re: Z06 Maf

TSP use to make a lid that had an opening to fit the 85mm maf sensors.

but the maf i got came with a piece of hose to mate the two up...like the stuff they use on turbo piping

here is the pic

Re: Z06 Maf

TSP still makes the 85mm lid. I got one this year.

Do I just need to get a connector for the z06 MAF and tie my IAT wires into it? How did you do it? If I get a MadZ tune will that take care of the calibration? How do you calibrate a MAF? Sorry for all the ?'s

What does the IAT have to do with a MAF on an F-body?? It's not a GTO MAF. The IAT is a seperate sensor.
Calibration is done electronically by the manufacturer.
