Z06 Computer tuning for my SS

the dealership by my house "Mike Mooney Chevy Olds" programmed a SS for some i know and gave him the stock tuning from a Zo6. I seen the car at the track and it has Loudmouth and the tuning and ran a 13.3 at like 116 with a whimpy launch. Think i should see if they can do it to my car too, and check the price on it too. Think it would be worth it for say 100 bucks ? that is just a guess though.

LOL! First off, an LS1 F-body in TOTALLY stock from should be able to pull a 13.3 no problem the mph however is pretty nice. As far as the tuning is concearned, sure you can gain HP with just a tune, i've heard of as much as 25hp being gained on a good dyno tune in a totally stock ride. But this Z06 tuning is just a fallacy.

i hope they sold him a tornado with it. that's a full of something claim. a z06 is programmed for drive by wire and i'm pretty sure it wouldn't run at all let alone be faster.

Yes i know a LS1 car can do 13.2 stock but at 116 mph? dont think so . I kinda figured that doing the Zo6 tuning **** would be pointless prolly, would be better off getting it dyno tuned or buy ls1 edit and do it myself. Good thing i asked for your guys opinion.

Unless you have a set of wideband o2 sensors as well as a good bit of know how the only thing you'll end up with trying to tune it yourself is a broken car.
