Your Input on this 99

Hey guys i'm shopping around for a LOW (as possible) mileage LS1 Trans Am and everysingle one i went to check or called about is ALWAYS sold before i can even get my chance to come check it out, but i came across this 99 T/A today and thought it really looks like a well taken care of car and all but i felt the if the price was alittle more like say 16.5 or so it'd be a Really good deal, im working on a budget in the teens so i need to strray from the 20k+ cars, but i wanna know based on the pictures and discription what you all think of this car! Theres only one thing that doesn't add up here, it says its a 99, thecarfax says its a 99 BUT in a Camaro book i have it says that the steering wheel stereo volume control option wasn't available till the 2000 model year, so what gives ?? Did pontiac start doing it a year before chevy????

Thanks
Rob

Thats a nice lookin car and the milage is great but the price is ridiculous. To answer your question... Firebird/TransAm have had the steering wheel controls for a long time. They had some funny looking ones on the 94' and i think put the ones your used to on in 96 or 97.

Kelly Blue Book has it listed for $13,720 (private party value, with all options the seller listed, plus Exellent condition)

Retail Value - $16,145 (From a Dealership)

The car seems a little high in price. I have a fully optioned '99 Z28 and its value right now is like $12,500.

If you talk to the guy don't ask him if he raced it, because he might say no. Ask him where he raced it, so he'll be more likely to tell you the truth.

I say this because that car had a lid on it and no one puts those on for decoration.

Price does seem steep, but if you really like the car then go for it. However be patient when looking for that special car, because you will find it.

The steering wheel was available before 2000. My 98 T/A had it.
