Yokohama AVS ES 100 tires

Ok, I got them. Been on for a little over 240 miles.
So far, these tires are the best tires out of the box I have ever used.

Pushing hard out of a turn and breaking the tires loose is more than controlled. It was as if it knew that all I wanted was to push hard, step the tail out for a sec while spinning up and then it hooked hard!

I am very pleased with these. They grab great considering they are 280 AA A rated tires. They grab way better than the kumhos ever did on my weaker Z28.

I would highly recommend these to anyone on a budget looking at getting some new tires. I even went against my tried and true Tirerack.com (they were out of stock for a few days) and went the local Discount Tire route. $510.90 total cost with mounting balancing and stems. Thats not bad for all 4 new tires on and 4 old bald goodyears that I never have to see again.

Thumbs up

Yeah, I have those in the rear. Very nice tires. I used to always spin in the 1-2 shift when I floored it with the falkens I had before. I was surprised when these didn't spin, I thought it was normal to spin durring that shift because it always happened to me.

Good tires.

I have to agree. I've had these tires mounted for 3000 miles so far, and they are absolutely excellent in the rain. I have to actually try and break traction with these tires, as opposed to the OEM tires. These tires also perform beautifully in the corners.

Definately worth the money spent.
I spent $560 for my setup, installation, balancing, and all.

Today was my first day driving with them in the rain. Very impressed, falkens were horrible there too. Even if you don't get yokohamas, stay away from falkens.

FINALLY! GOT THEM IN SERIOUS WATER!

WOW! Thats what I will say. The most confidence inspiring tires I have ever used in the rain..

Even in deep water, they were very stable!

I've had 'em on my car since July...definitely the best tire I've ever had to date....However, they seem to be wearing a little quicker than the khumo's and factory tires i've had on so far....maybe its just my driving style that is to blame

Perhaps is the reason would be the better tires "inspire" more spirited driving habits?

I just got mine and find that they are great in the rain! I am plowing through water left and right! The GSC's would of had me sideways earlier in the day.
On a side fun note. I am using my car to deliver today. All of my drivers called in because they got stuck in deep water and their cars shut down on them. On top of that, they drive a honda (a few mods.. wants to get a bypass valve so his car wouldnt hydrolock! hehe) and an acura (lowered and loud but no power...).

I paid around $700 form mine in July. I think they hot them cheaper because they all seem to have 16s. The 17s are more expensive. I love the tires. Hook very well.
