Yet Another SES question-catalyst inefficiency

The SES light is off for a few months, turns on for a few weeks, then turns off for a another few months. Repeat. It's all the same code. I even got the cats replaced under warranty, but it kept doing it again. I would think the cutout had something to do with this, but it was doing this long before the cut out was installed.

what's the deal?

I have the same exact to the T, problem with my 00ss. says that cats are not burning effeciently. What is the answer to the problem, if changing the o2s aren't the answer what can I do to fix it. My light comes on then goes off week or two later then on again. What causes this?

The answer probally is to change the cat. But dont do like I did and change your o2 sensor and spend $130 on it and not solve the problem. Bad on my part, should have trouble-shot better. I'll learn. I have o2 sims on the way, need them anyways cause i will be going with a offroad y-pipe when i get my headers. I will let you know if they sims worked or not when i get them.

If your throwing P0420 or P0430 talk to a dealer about replacing your cat(s) under the federal emissions warranty (8yrs/80K).

I just threw the same code yesterday. I had my cats replaced under warranty around 30K. I've got 64K now.

I need to know what is killing my passenger side cat every 30K miles.
