just wondering if my lightly modded lt1 could give a ls1 a run for it's money, my time isn't that fast in the sig because of the bad 60', so i'm just lookin at trap speeds here.

Mine ran 107-108 mph, and it's on the fast end of the spectrum. Your 103 mph would put up a good fight with that.

Autos run 101-106 mph, usually, and M6s run 105-108 mph...with good drivers, of course.

 

gm high tech performance got a z28 with a ls1 to run a 12.8 which is the fastest stock ive seen but usually its a low 13

 

13.772@103.92 with a 2.267 60' is right in the ball-park of what some LS1's are running! In fact, it's faster than my car ran its first 2 times at the track! (14.008 @ 102.99! ) but as a rule, most LS1's are running mid 13's or better, and usually 105 - 110 mph traps (obviously with exceptions though).

 

He's asking about trap speeds, not ETs.

And I'm sure he doesn't care about exceptional examples..just average examples.

I don't think low 13s are usual...more like mid 13s. But again, we're talking about trap speed, and most LS1s run enough trap speed to run low 13s with a good launch.

I think your average LS1 will trap around 105. Plus or minus some of course.

When I had a 2001 Trans AM WS6 6spd, I ran 12.76@110.06 1.92 60' with a lid and a set of drag radials. The car ran consistent 109mph traps before installing the lid.

 

Both LS1's I have owned trapped 107-108 in the 1/4 stock.

 

Mine trapped in the neighborhood of 101 - 102mph when it was stock.
