Unless you take out the baffles and install the BG ram air kit like I did.

But Formulas are a lot rarer then TA's. I never cared for the ground affects of the TA.

how bout the lt1 gfx.. imo the lt1 formulas are FUGLY... ls1s how ever are different. to make it simple id buy a forumla and swap the spoiler. id buy a regular t/a in a heart beat.... i think that the ws6 option is over rated. i mean all you ever see any more is ws6 ls1s never any that have the flat hood. im starting to like that look to be honest. and if your gonna seriously mod your car any way.... your just gonna throw away the ws6 options(besides the hood)

LOL z28's dont have to worry about big spoiler or little spoiler. My opinion is the SS spoiler is goofy lookin.

I would say that Fbody resale is quite good actually. I know I could sell my car with 61K miles on for $13,000 right now. That's a good price and low miles in Nashville. And WS6 and SS cars usually go for 2-3K higher than other V8 fbodies. Even 10 year old lt1's go for 6-8K depending on how clean they are and the miles.

Another good thing about the WS6 is the bigger wheels and tires. It will cost you around $1500 to upgrade to the wheel and tire package on a WS6. So that's $2500 to upgrade a regular T/A to the WS6 look. I think its about the same price to just buy a WS6 rather than replace parts. A lot less hassle too.

Re: WS6 vs. T/A

I would never buy a cheap set of aftermarket rims though. They would have to be from a reputable company or from GM. I detailed cars and have seen numerous aftermarket chrome wheels with flaking, chipped, thin, and defective chrome. Even "good" wheels from Giovinna have done this. Most of these wheels were less than 2 years old too.

And the GM 5 spoke 16" wheels on my car look exactly the same as they rolled off the factory 6 years ago, and have 61K miles on them. Factory wheels are made better than almost all aftermarket rims. But if you shop around, I'm sure you could do better than the $1500 I quoted you. But for a good brand name tire will still run you $200 a pop.

Re: WS6 vs. T/A

lol well, most people dont want to shell out an extra $1000+ for a little logo that says "GM" on their wheels. What's the difference with wheels? we swap out our factory intake manifolds, factory exhaust manifolds, factory shifters, factory guages, factory gears, factory clutches, etc.

Re: WS6 vs. T/A

you aren't going to change my mind on this. GM or any other car manufactor's wheels are made better than 99% of aftermarket wheels. The only two brands that I know are better than OEM quality are HRE and Fiske. And they will rape you on the price of those wheels too.

I forgot about weld wheels. And I have never heard of Bogart.

Also, I've heard that Boyd Coddington wheels are really good, along with Centerline wheels.
