From what i understand the WS6 airbox is taller, therefore allowing better flow... Is this true? Will it fit under an ultra-z hood?

 

Yes, it's true that the LS1 WS6 box is taller. I don't know anything about the Ultra Z hood though. Sorry.

 

I know it wont work with a SS or stock hood but like ShaneS stated I am not sure on the Ultra Z hood.

 

Well i ordered one and it should be here on thursday so we will see.

 

Please post your results. I have had a WS6 lower air box in my storage shed for about two years. I have wondered about the Ultra Z hood myself, but didn't know anyone who had one to test fit the box on. I think that hood is one of the better looking one's for our cars. That is a very nice car you have there, BTW.

Sorry for some reason my notification e-mails from cz28 have been getting filtered into my junk mail. The answer is YES it fits and fits easily at that. I probably still have an easy inch or two of hood clearance even with the new airbox.

 

Where'd you get it, and how much?
