I was looking at a 98 trans am ws6 and at first look i noticed that there was only one tailpipe and no ws6 badge on the back. Im thinking it was in an accident
any other possiblities?

 

Prolly a fake then. Check the inside door panel where it lists the RPO codes and see if WS6 is listed. If not, it's a fake.

 

I believe the formula came with a single side exhaust at one time, might be a formula with ws6 hood & spoiler.

 

ALL 98 WS6's be it a TA or Formula had a single outlet exhaust.. it had one single driver side 3 1/4 tip

that system flowed pretty well with a different muffler in place..

you need to check the door panel for the option code

 

the folks selling the car were not home, the car was in the driveway but obviously locked.
what about the badge? do thy tend to fall off after few years

does it hav he 17 inch ws6 rims on it? have u checked the engine bay, it will say ram air on the airbox. idk about the rest though

 

it has 17 chrome rims

 

i think it should say ws6 on em and then check under the hood, does it say ram- air on the airbox????

 

Rims, airboxes, Ram Air stickers etc. can be added later on.

Like said before, check whether it has the WS6 otion code on the sticker. You'll find the sticker from the drivers door.

Like they said ... look for the RPO code "WS6" on the sticker. That's the only way to know for sure.
