Will the stock ECU give me problems?
Will the stock ECU give me problems?
I'm doing a custom engine swap soon, using the LS1 in a different car... of which the details will remain top secret for the time being
Anyways, I want to know exactly what the ECU for the LS1 (with manual trans), needs to see to work properly. The car will definately have no cats, no EGR, no speed sensor, will be swapped into a completely unrelated car, so it wont have anything not part of the motor, no cruise, no P/S, no A/C, pretty much no extra bullcrap is what I'm getting at. Is the ECU going to cause problems with these things missing, or will it allow the motor to run correctly?
Would it be easier to just go standalone?
Thanks,
Jim
