Will an LS1 accept a S/C better than an LT1?
I was just kinda wondering if an LS1 will accept a supercharger better than an LT1? I'm talking if the bottom ends are beefed up and balanced along with complete forged internals! Just curious!!
From what I've heard on this site, the LT1 will accept a supercharger better than the LS1 primarly due to its forged internals. I think the safest amount of boost to run on a stock LS1 is like 8psi. The LS1 can be built to take boost though, but I've just heard the LT1 takes it a little better.

i thought the lt1 wasn't that great with a s/c just because of it's stock 10.5.1 compression
but then again, if you change the c/r, then go ahead and turn the boost up
btw, what is the stock ls1 compression?

LT1s don't have forged internals guys.
Though LS1s have aluminum blocks, they have 6 bolt mains vs. LT1 F-bods 2 bolt main (C4 Vettes got 4 bolt mains)
And you might get a better responce in the forced induction forum
