will a 99 Hypertech programmer work for a 2000 model

I have a 99 SS camaro and I am wanting to know if this programmer will work with a 2000 model. Reason is I am wanting to sell mine and a buddy of mine will pay 175 if it will work on his 2000

According to Hypertech's website, 99 and 00 have different part #'s.

Who knows what the real difference actually is, though...

Well the dont the 99s and 00s have different injector sizes and different cams?? Things like that would call for a different tuning approach. If you or your friend wants a 2000 HPP3 I might be willing to part with mine. I am wanting to get LS1 Edit but I need some come up with some cash first. 200 + shipping if you are interested, you can shoot me a pm if you want.

No it won't work because the programmer checks the VIN of the vehicle. If the VIN doesn't match the codes from the programmers memory, the programmer will give an error message (from what I hear).

I tried an '01 Hypertech on my '02 car, and a message came up "This Programmer Not Compatible With This Vehicle" or something to that effect. So NO, it won't work. Sorry?!
