? will 95-97 cat back work on 99

hello, just got my ride sept 2003. wow this bullet is faster than my goat was. i've been out of hot rodding for 9 years (divorce-igot the house, she got the goat!) my question is i'm looking at a edelbrock cat back on sale at summit for $243. problem is muffler inlet is only 2 3/4". on the 95-97 the inlet is 3". i'm told the intermediate pipe is shorter however i could modify.does this sound doable? thank you, this is a great website

Everything will hang in place properly. You'll just need to modify where the y-pipe meets the catback. They don't offer the same catback for your year model for the same price?

I had an 02 WS6 catback on my car before I got my hooker catback, and the only thing I had to modify was the driver side hanger, other than that it bolted up no problem.

thanks for your replies. in response to beast 96z at edelbrocks website they have an application chart. for my car part #5772 is for 98-02's its a cat back system with 3"interm pipe however only 2 3/4" muffler inlet. (stupid desicion by edelbrock if you ask me!) most or all others including part #5675 for 95-97 have a 3"interm pipe and a 3"inlet to the muffler with dual 2 1/2" outlets. the muffler on the 98-02 also has 2 1/2" outlets. thanks a bunch and lets all kick some azphault!
