Where to improve?

I ran one 12.9 missing third gear my mph was 111.

My Run that everything went perfect except for Traction looked like this

R/T ... 1.034
60 ... 2.314
330 ... 6.158
1/8 ... 9.007
mph ... 87.20
1000 ... 11.408
1/4 ... 13.399
mph ... 114.47

This was third Run Hot lapping it the temp was 81* in stanton.. (midmichiganmotorplex)

I know The 60' is nasty I hooked half way though 2nd and I came through the Traps off the rev limiter in 3rd..

How Much would Gears and Sub-Frame Connectors help?

Re: Where to improve?

If you're having problems with traction, gears will only make it worse. SFC's on the other hand should help out a bit.

if those "goldline springs" are drop springs...no wonder you have bad traction.

you'd be better off spending your money on some relocation brackets and lower control arms...they will help plant the rear.

wouldn't hurt to pick up a $15 poly torque arm mount too...

Re: Where to improve?

I'm going w/ TEKE184....LCA's, RLB's. When I installed my LCA's, I noticed a WORLD of a difference.

I'd also say pick up a TQ arm w/ the poly bushing. I've heard of ppl w/ less mods than I, W/ only a rear, gears, slicks, small minor bolt-ons and a TQ arm, pulling the front wheels off the ground! I was dumbfounded!!

Apparently, that adjustable TQ arm drastically increases traction on the track. I have never been to the track so I can't speek for mine, but I took a couple runs up the local strip. From a creep, I can tell it does plant the power better.

I'd say you'll get the most gains at this stage by improving your driving/launching skills. Get a good shifter (if you had one you wouldn't have missed 3rd), a shift light, and line lock.
