Where can I get an official SLP Lid?

Where can I get one? I just recently bought a K&N Filter, not happy with that, I wanna get rid of the crappy intake on my 2002 SS.

I need one of the new SLP lids that has the little air tube or whatnot.

Where can I get one of these... and are they tricky to install?

Why?
They arent manufactured with the highest levels of quality... SLP has had some inconsistancies with their lids where they were not sealing well..

Installing that K&N filter robbed you of a few horsepower.. You should go back to stock paper filter. (see sig for my proof)

I went to the auto parts store and for $10 I got an APC breather filter to connect the AIR tube to.. I only use it when I am testing the lids as my car is kept bone stock.. Down to the paper filter.

Dont believe the hype. Any lid will net you about 8rwhp on average... so find the best deal on one..

I see you have a 2002, have you checked to see if you have an LS1 or LS6 block casting?

SLP has two different lids. The one that is optional on the 2002 SS's is a much higher quality lid than any other out there. However, it is much, much more expensive. You might call SLP Engineering at 800-533-5673 to find it. Whether or not it is worth the price is a separate debate, that may come down to personal preference.

They also sell an aftermarket lid that's comparable to many other aftermarket lids. This lid can be found at almost any sponsor.

I have the SLP lid you're speaking if and I love it. Its just as good as any other lid out there. I got mine for $99 from one of the sponcers. Its a great lid and I'd recomend it to anyone. I comes with either a plug for the hole or you can put the hose in the side if you wish.
