just ordered a ram air type of hood for the SS.. right now it has a type of aftermarket lid where the filter goes.
where can i find the one that is for Ram Air's ? .. the one where you can see the air filter if you look at it from the top ?

What kind of ram air hood did you get. Unless you got something like an Ultra Z hood it should use the stock air lid. A factory style SS ram air hood won't require a lid change. I'm not even sure if the Ultra Z hood does, but I'm fairly confident that it does.
Just checked and the Ultra Z hood doesn't require a lid change.

Wow. I didn't know anyone made a hood that style for the ls1's. That's pretty cool. Probably seals up a lot tighter than a factory SS hood.Originally posted by PJS TOY

no... its not the Ultra Z hood... it looks just a Trans Am ram air hood.. but for Camaros. i just need one from a Ram Air where you can see the filter if you look from above... just like in that website.Originally posted by mullettour
