where to buy gears

hey guys I'm looking to buy better gears right now I have 2.73's even though my friend doesn't blieve me. What would be a good gear to get from 2.73's? I do a significant amount of highway driving so I was just wondering what your input was? Think I'm gonna go with 3.23s Do you know where I can find these? Also how much they would cost? Thanks

I swapped my non-TCS 2.73 rear with a non-TCS 3.42 rear out of an M6 car I bought from a friend who bought a Strange. Going from 2.73's to 3.23's IMO isn't worth the change. I'm very happy with the 3.42's, but you may want to consider going with 3.73's. As far as the effects of a gear change on highway RPM is concerned you can go to www.f-body.org/gears/ and plug in different numbers. Show your friend the RPO code on your door - GU2=2.73, GU5=3.23. Another option would be to just keep the 2.73's and get a torque converter. Decisions, decisions

I agree, 3.23s wouldn't really be worth it. 3.42s would be fine but personally, I would opt for 3.73s. It's up to you.

You should be able to find Motive's for under $200.
