I was thinking of getting a 1/2" spacer? So obviously i have to replace the studs, anyone have a problem changing the studs to longer studs? Do you have to remove the axle to do this?

I have 1" spacers with 9.5 X 17" rims and 275/40/17 tires and it fits well and looks good. The tires don't stick out and don't rub if you 'massage' the lip on the fender slightly.

It all depends on your wheel size and backspacing - with the stock rims/tires you should be able to fit 1.5" or 2" spacers.

Check www.powertech.de and look for the spacers for a 84 and up Corvette... that's what I bought... there are also many deals on Ebay... some of the are 'made to order' - two spacers for 100$
