My friend's '01 ran 13.006 bone stock. My '02 ran 12.9 with just a lid and cut-out. Both are auto's.

Oh yeah, any bone stock LS1 will take a slightly to decently modded LT1.

Yeah I had a 94 -Z with the out of balance driveshaft. It was a factory recall/service notice. It was between 80-85mph. Lower your car and it gets worse cause now the pinion angle is outta wack combined with the out of balence condition. Get a 1LE driveshaft that the put on the 97 LT-4 cars, or else find like a 96-97 Z/SS stock shaft. They had the problem figured out by then.

Expect a low 13 out of a 00, 01 or up will touch high 12s

Most of the time........my 97z had headers, pulleys, cold air, and exhaust. I went heads up with a 99 ta till 110, when we shut down it was dead even. I pulled a bumper on him off the line though. Both where autos, it was a good race. A full bolt on lt1(in good shape) will run with a stock 98-00 ls1. Personally I don't think that saying a lot.......thats what the juice is for

let me correct some stuff here..

They are Capable of low 13's high 12's

they dont all run that.

Also ditch the 3 core setup and go with the twin high flow ATI.. better ground clearence and more flow

Why do LT1 owners sometimes have something to prove? Yeah, maybe if the "slight" mods include heads/cam or something, but with just some bolt-ons, a LT1 isn't gonna be rippin up any LS1's anytime soon, sorry bud. What's this magic LT1 of yours got on it and what's it run?

I dunno LT1's are pretty consistant, I've seen some really fast LS1's stock & modded & some really slow LS1's stock & modded, they are weird engines but I'd sure love to have one LS1's are superior to an LT1 though, one day I will have one, can't wait until that day finally comes

I had a 95 Z28 with ALL the boltons possible..... just no headers.... I went out last spring ang bought a 2001 WS6 Convertable........ WOW! I said. This thing flies! It might not have the same 0-20 that the LT1 had but anything above 20 the LS1 kicked ***.

BTW. After 1 year I FINNALLY bought a lid and WOW! I'm pissed I didnt spend that $100 a year ago. I dont know what I was thinking. Just ordered MAF ends..... will do a cutout soon..... as well as n2o..... But from what ive seen with the $100 lid..... bang for your buck, i never did anything to the LT1 that had that king of gain.

I have to say that I have never lost to any LT1 unless it had major work done. Even an Lt1 with headers, and cold air yadayada, will be close, but wont outrun most LS1s in the high. But when i drive my girlfriends 96 formula, i kinda miss the torque for fartin around town.

My 02 TA ran a 13.2 with 278 miles and the paper temp tag on it
There WILL be faster cars no matter how fast you are,(a fact of life) if you like the LT1, great. If you would rather have an LS1 that's great too. Pick what you like, you can always make it faster, all it takes is $$$$$$$
