Whats the most power a 4 gen Fbody can take?
I have a 98 Z28 A4 and am planning on upping the power but Im afraid im gonna bust my axle. Just last week my buddy busted his 99 z28s axle at the track with a 360 built bottom end, cam, bolt ons, and higher stall torque convertor. He broke it before we could dyno it. Does anybody know the torque limits on the 4L60E and the stock rear end are?

theres no definite hp that the rear will snap at. a 6-speed will almost always go sooner. as for the tranny...the same thing goes.

How do you run 12's with a broke rear end? What broke? I dont know about you but i have seen rear ends break. Most of the time cars dont move after that.
