Brian, this may not be the information you are looking for, but I thought I'd try to help. I have a 94 A4 Z28 Convertible. Came stock with 2.73's. I switched to 3.42's. I only lost about 1-2 mpg, and shaved .3 off my 1/8th mile. But, I couldn't launch without spinning. I added M/T ET Street Radials and dropped another .2 off the 1/8th mile. I do have a small stall and cam...so I benefitted from the lower gears more than a stock car might.

Thanks for all the opinions everyone. I'm going to ask a very stupid question here.....what exactly is a cutout? Just something that opens and bypasses the muffler or what? I mean I have the general idea....but just want it cleared up some. Where is the cutout on my Borla system?
