What will I run 1/4 with these MODS? Help!
Hello!
I was woundering if you guys can tell what my 1/4 time should be with my 99 Camaro SS A4 which I got back from the shop few days a go but never got to get on it due to the weather here in IL.
These are the mods done to it:
*K&N FIPK cold air intake
*HOLLY LINGENFELTER INTAKE MANIFOLD
*GRANATALLI MAF SENSOR
*AUBURN DIFF
*3.73 GEAR
*VIGILANTE 3000 STR TORQUE CONVERTER
*SLP DUAL/DUAL EXHAUST
*FLP LONG TUBE HEADERS
*FLP OFF ROAD Y-PIPE 3"
*NO CATS
*NX 100 SHOT N20 WITH PURGE KIT
*NGK SPARK PLUGS WITH TAYLOR 10.4M WIRES
*315/35 NITTO DRAGS
I think that covers all
The only reason I am asking is cuz this April I have a race coming up Vs. 2002 Mustang GT which has a supercharger, x-pipe, flowmaster and I think he is sprying 75 shot N20.
What do you guys think will happen cuz its for big bucks?

My guess is around 12.0.
A lot of the 1/4th time depends on the area you live though. Here in Texas I ran a 12.9 with only a lid and cut-out, but many people further up north can't manage better then 13.5 with way more mods. So in other words, moving to Texas will cut .5 off your ET
My guess is that it'll be a damn close race, with him blowing and spraying. The only way to know your 1/4th time though is to go to a strip. Go a week before you race him or somethin. There's way too many factors to even semi-accurately guess what a car's 1/4th will be.

f|_|ck dude, supercharged gt spraying a 75 shot? that smells like at least 450 horses. I still think you can take him with your 100 shot, but i really recommend you do what grdlock suggested. Go a week before and test your time.
And if its for big bucks as in 2grand or something high roller style, i'd say get another 50 shot and use it incase he pulls. The extra system would look nice anyway, and it's better to play it safe and go with another 50 than have to spend 2grand and get beat.
Is your car automatic? I thought torque converters were for auto tranny's?

Are you running a direct port nitrous setup into your Holley intake manifold with that NX kit, or are you spraying just after the MAF? If you've got a direct port setup, you could probably spray a whole lot bigger than a 100 shot safely. That would for sure show the GT some taillights
Getting some dyno tuning done with your nitrous setup would help a lot too.

Dude me and you are neighbors and we are exactly the same age which means that we both graduated from Niles West in 2001.
The 3000 stall and Nitto DR's will give you a really good 60' givin you're not spraying off the line, then it would be iffy. BUT, like I said, I got stall and traction will give you at least a 1.8 60', good stalls like the Vigilante 3200 gets A4 guys 1.6's all day long. So yeah, and launch like that and all that power you'll have you'll do 11s easy, of course depending on all the variables like track prep, temp, humidity. So yeah, good luck and show that S/C GT some tail-lights!!!
