Post What Shifter???????Pro 5.0/Hurst/or What???????

I am starting to think that a new shifter will be my newest mod on my Z. Need a little input on what will do me the best for the right price. Thanks.

B&M Ripper shifter seems to be the most popular with the 5.0 coming in second. Most agree that a factory Hurst is a POS, so dont buy one used online!! Honestly, shifters are a matter of personal preference. Try getting a hold of some people with different brands and check em out to see which one suits your likes best.

Mods? I think it would be easyer for me just to list the things that aren't changed in the car.

Assembled here in the USA. No thinking required.

I've had the ripper and the 5.0. I liked both. Like Phat said, try driving some cars that have the different shifters.

I wouldn't consider the factory hurst a pos, it is a alot better than the stock GM one. Had a pro 5.0 in my 99 GT and i cant really tell a whole lot of difference other than the shorter stick. Personaly i would go with the B&M ripper, they have made that shifter specificaly for the t-56 for years.
