I think it's just another way of describing the exhaust sound of a car...................most guys want a "loud", "throaty", "rumbly", "deep", "raspy" exhaust tone...............what EXACTLY is "raspy", I dunno?! Think of a sweet sounding V8 exhaust, on a car with a lot of choppy cam lope, and you could probably describe it as "raspy"!

rasp is only bad if the car isnt fast......open header big block cars are RASPY....they're ok in my book!

p.s. my car is a little raspy too and its NOT real fast but i like it...it scares people.

I describe it as a unwanted resonance frequency. Once I removed my cats and went to long tube headers, no cats, and Corsa I get some rasp at 3K-4500 RPM if I am mildly shifting, if I just floor it or shift at lower RPM no rasp. It does not bug me but it does draw attention from cops I just got my QTP dual electric cutout y-pipe this should really get the cops attention
