What numbers do a 6.0L LS1 Iron Block Engine Make?

Compared to an LS1 block or what?
If so, I don't think you'll find anyone that's swapped the LS1 block for the 6.0 liter block just to try to make more power. Most people go with the 6.0 liter for strength (iron) or for big cubes (42x-43x ci) or both.

Car Craft mag. did a 6.0L truck engine build up with an SLP stroker kit (bumped upto 402 cu.in. from 364 cu.in) and made 580 HP, and torque around ~545 lb-ft
. I think they used a set of worked LS6 heads for the build
.
Basically, there's no difference in the power you can make just based on the block itself. I've got an older Chevy High Tech mag that shows a 383 LS1 build up that made almost the same power as the Car Craft 6.0L engine

I think as a general rule, every cubic inch you add gains you another one horsepower, so you'd be looking at 15-16 more horses. Like someone else said they are used for more cubes. I'd love a nice stroker cause theres no replacement for displacement.
