What mods next?

I am helping a friend out to find out what the best next mods would be. He has a a4 '99 T/A with lid, MAF, TB, wires, off-road Y-pipe, borla, subframes, panhard, control arms, and 555r's. The best times he has gotten is 13.002 at 107.?? with a 1.9? 60'. Is this about what it should be running or what? Any sugestions would be apreciated and he is working on a budget so nothing extream. He has already nixed the idea of N2O for the fact if anything does happen he will be out of work, and if converter comes up what is the best and what stall.

Thanks,
Luke

Depending on your budget i would go with headers (personally i have hooker lt's). Gears probably 3.73's. With the budget headwork is probably out of the question. But also look into a cam.

I think the times should be a little quicker. What is your elevation? I also think he should be cutting some better 60' times. Get those down and he's into the 12s easily.

Next mod, definatly gears. Tell him to start saving up some money for headers too. They are a must.

By far the best bang for the buck would be a 3000 stall torque converter. The Midwest 3000 2.5 str is looking promising to me. With sticky tires it would yeild him a 0.5 second improvement in the quarter mile.

I know a converter and et streets are my next mods.

Good Luck!

A torque converter is one of the best mods that you can do to an A4. As 95TealLT1 mentioned this could be worth 5 tenths with good traction. Something in the 2800-3000 RPM range would work well with the mods that he has.
