At what mileage......

do you need to be looking at a rebuild on a LS1? I am going to buy one with 87K on it.

Thumbs up

There's really no set mileage, but if the car you are looking at has only 87K miles, you shouldn't have to worry about anything like that for next 50-100K at least.

As long as it has been, and will be, taken care of properly.

Good luck!

as stated above:

that question is relative to the motors history/future alone.
~ how it was and will be taken care of.

I wouldnt at 84k...If the engine was taken care of it'll last alot longer..Theres no set mileage that an engine needs a rebuild, when it starts running like crap and the engine is shot then ya do it
