I hope you aren't planning on paying an arm & leg for the SLP bellow!
Either get the Fernco or Air Flow Systems...
Fernco comes from Home Depot, or most hardware stores.
Air Flow: http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=HH
Good luck
Dave

No, not at all! There's an auction with all these items and it's at a good price right now. How does the SLP MAF compare to other MAF's.

Thanks again,
Jonathan

I'd say more like around to 12-16 rwhp, as long as the maf ends don't lean you out and give you knock.

SLP has a new version of their smooth bellows that does not kink when installed. It is designed better and is expected to be available in March or April. Just what I am told. I have seen an image of it and I will definitely pick one up when it is available. But that's just me.

Honestly I believe the smooth belows doesn't give you any hp. A while back they did a before and after with the regular vs the smooth(er) bellows in gmhtp. And if I remember correctly they picked up virtually nothing with it.

You'll get anywhere from 10-15rwhp from the lid, the bellow and MAF won't do anything. MAF's CAN increase HP, but not until numbers are above 400hp @ the flywheel, even then the benefits are slight (5 or 7rwhp) Good luck though with a better breathing F-Bod!!!

Actually people have seen 5-7rwhp gains from porting out the maf on a bolt on car, while other have lost horsepower due to knock. The ported ends tend to lean the motor out a little with the ls1s, so if you are running a little rich for whatever reason then you'll some additional horsepower come of it. However if your running stoich or a little lean then the extra leaning out that the ends will cause can give you detonation causing the motor to have to retard timing, thus killing your horsepower

I don't think the MAF and ends really do much unless you have a cam or something. I wouldn't expect a big gain from all that. Friend of mine ran a 13.006 in his bone stock WS6, and once he got a lid, cutout, maf ends (not a new maf, just ends) and a hi-flow bellow, he knocked off .1 seconds.... so it coulda easily done nothing... intake and exhaust benefit a lot more from a modified engine then they will with stock cam/heads.
