What to do next?

I am trying to decide on what to do next for my next mod on my 99Z.. See my sig for what i have done to it. I am looking at spending around 1000-1200 bucks on top of the 12-bolt rear end im going to buy. Any suggestions on what to get?

Sounds like your ready for a cam, or you could upgrade your valvetrain (15-20hp) thats what i'm doing next.

Re: What to do next?

I was thinking about doing a cam, But I still need it to be street friendly.. I have a few cars, so i dont drive it EVERY day, but i do like driving it around town a lot. What would you suggest for a cam and valvetrain? I have heard the stock rockers are pretty good, so would i need to upgrade them, or could i keep the stockers? For the cam, do you have to take the heads off to remove the lifters, or is there a better/easier way to do a cam only swap? Thanks

with only 24k miles, no real need to change lifters. and YES you have to pull the heads to change them. but i wouldn't worry about them.

a good street freindly cam is the tried and true TR224 cam. should give you a solid 375rwhp with a good tune. and it is still very streetable.

valvetrain wise, the rockers are fine. you'll have to upgrade the springs and pushrods.
while you have the engine apart it wouldn't be a bad idea to change the oil pump to the LS6 and also a new timing chain.
