Haven't taken mine to the track yet so I can't answer the 60ft question, but the stock gears are either 2.73 or 3.23. You can tell if they are 3.23 by looking for the GU5 RPO on the door.

Stock LS1s with stock converters will generally run 2.00 60's all day long.

Yep 2.00s are no problem, 1.9s are attainable with practice.

My New Times?

The best I've cut so far was a 2.3xx.

It was my first time at the track and I launched the car by just taking my foot off the brake and hitting the gas. The best time I cut was a 14.065@102. I had a bad brake booster when I made the passes and kept hitting the brakes just before the traps and drove crappy. I only nailed it because I didn't want to lose.

I think a 102 trap speed for a 14 sec. run is pretty good and I know the car has more in it. What do you guys think I can get my 60' down to and what time and MPH should I be running with my mods? Lid wasn't in for the 14.0 pass.

Just to recap, the gear options for A4's are 2.73's and 3.23's. I don't think it was mentioned, but GU2 is the code for 2.73's, while someone already said that GU5 is for 3.23's.

FR S8N, you have in your sig a '98 SS? If that's the car you're asking about, I'm pretty sure that all automatic SS's and WS6's came with the upgraded 3.23 gears.

As for 60' times, they will really depend on your tires and the traction you can get. The best I've cut so far with my car and 2.73 gears was a 2.0xx, while I've cut as bad as 2.3xx. My best 1/4 mile time is listed in my sig, but when I first got my car and ran it at the track (it was only 1 month old) I only ran 14.1 @ 101............with a 2.1 60' time:blah:.

With good tires and 3.23 gears, you should have no problem getting under the 2.0 second mark, into a 1.9xx or maybe a 1.8xx.

The best I've pulled with my 3.23s is a 1.93 60'. That was with DR's and stock converter.

That's not necessarily true. Mine when stock with the stock converter and street tires would go a 2.00x with a dead hook and the gas matted. Even with drag radials on a cold day witha dead hook and WOT all the way a 1.93 was the very best.
The stock converter stalls up so low that mid 1.9s is it, all done, the best that she'll do. Now if you have a freak converter that's a little looser.............................
