What to do after header install?

I have read a few places about people tuning their cars or not running their cutout due fouling up the temp. or something. Once my headers are installed do I need to get a tune? Also can I still run my cutout? I will be running no cats and I will get the o2 sims.

I run long tube headers with no cats and the cutout open. No tune necessary. I dont have o2 sims though so my SES light remains on.

Just wait till you do a cam then tune it. If you plan on doing that.

a tune is not NEEDED after headers...would it help..yeah

sometimes headers can throw off the A/F a little, and a tune would optimize that for more power. but you'll still get good gains without a tune.

and there is no problem running a cutout with the headers...other than noise
