A few things to consider. Manual transmission cars dyno more than automatics because automatics have more drivetrain loss. The gears are less favorable also with the auto. The '01-'02 cars will dyno more than the '98-'00 cars. Finally dyno's vary from one to the next, and it isn't reasonable to say that a car that dyno'd 320 on one dyno is making more power than one that dyno'd 310 as they are not 100% accurate.


Black01_Z - is the whole world still crazy?

 

Mine dynoed at 306 rwhp and 337 lb ft of tq.
Bone stock which impressed the hell out of me for a stock a4.

 

its easy to pull a low 13 in a stock LS1... even if the rwhp is just under 300. check out my sig and you find dyno #s and a time slip

 

i took almost a whole second? huh? i dont even have an aftermarket filter yet, im just really good at driving my car. i dont even have any kind of intake system yet. funny thing was you shoulda seen the zo6 owners face next to me when i beat him in my car with 80 bux invested in it....

 

well that just means the guy in the ZO6 just sucked at driving. The ZO6 is much faster than an F-body stock! BTW good times. its the truth as long as theres good traction and a low 60' then the high 12's are very acheivable!

my first run EVER at the track was good and bad
13.8 @ 102.9 2.004 60'
the good was the short time, the bad was the ET and mph
i forgot to roll up the windows, and i wasnt shifting very quick
that was in 95 degrees and nearly 100% humidity, back in july
i think i coulda gotten a 13.5, on that run considering the 60footer

i think this was at about 1,000ft elevation
anyone know if thats high enough from sealevel to mess up times too much?

 

I was run off the interstate by some idiot in a Honda. I went down an embankment, through some trees, over some trees, under some trees, and into a large erosion pit.

I tried to buy the car back from State Farm, but they have a contract with a local salvage yard and all cars have to be sold to the salvage company. My insurance angent and myself are pretty good friends and he tried everything in his power to let me buy the car back, but State Farm corporate offices eventually stepped in and said that it could not be done because they would face legal action against them due to their contract with Southern Automotive (which is the local contracted salvage yard)

I tried to buy it back from the salvage company, but they have a policy that they sell ONLY to licensed automotive wholesellers or other salvage yards. (I offered them their cost plus $2,000 ... CASH ... they wouldn't budge)

In order for me to buy it, I would have to buy it from a salvage yard that bought it from the other salvage yard. That means I would be paying for a piece of junk that had been marked up twice since State Farm had it.

That sucks too, because I already had buyers for the motor, tranny, T-Tops, leather interior, Monsoon system, and passenger side door.

 

318 RWHp 322RWTQ stock, and the 109.7mph timeslips to back it up, LOVE THE LS1, who ever got the 02 with 329 at the wheels is a lucky @%$#
