What brake rotors and pads do you use?

After a little spirited driving my brakes started thumping a little again. Not like they're warped either. Looking through the wheels I can see the RF rotor has a 1" crack in one spot. You can feel it bump up when you run your finger over it too. I figure I should get some better than stock rotors and pads to prevent this from happening again.

What do you use and would you reccomend it?

So far I'm planing on power slot rotors and napa ceramix pads. I don't auto-x, but I do brake hard at times. I try to avoid alot over engine braking with my M6(trying to see if it helps oil cinsumtion). This is my daily driver.

why do you brake hard?

I have to get new rotors myself, and do not want powerslots just because of the excessive pad wear.

I think I will get some Autozone ones...

I run the standard rotors from AutoZone. They have never given me a problem. For my pads, I got the Raybestos ceramic pads from CarQuest. Lifetime warranty, zero noise, practically zero dust.

Not sure what to tell you to get but don't get the Baer Eradispeed Plus rotors. Mine sure warpped. I had them turned and they are fine now.

I went with Power Slot rotors and Hawk HPS pads. No complaints whatsoever. 100% braking improvment.

I assume their warped rotor policy sux? I was thinking about getting some for rear replacements.

Cool

Never had any problems with generic rotors and Performance Friction carbon metallic pads from AutoZone.

I was the second owner and they only warrant first owner. It was easier anyway for me to just take them off the car and have them turned same day for $40 rather than pay shippiing two ways on these heavy rotors. Who knows how long it would have taken to get them back too.

Thanks for the input so far. Nothing bad about power slot rotors that I can't handle. Since I work at a shop I can warranty any pads from napa whenever I think their too noisy. Rotor warranty isn't so great and can be a pita trying to get them to cover rotors. I've heard nothing but good stuff about autozone rotors, but I don't need to get into all the reasons I'd rather not go there. Brake dust isn't much of an issue because I wash my car(and wheels) at least once usually twice a week(its black).
