Angry Weird problem, please help

I recently just got this 99 motor in my 83 (Aug) and, of course, I'm loving it. Well, I decided to rap the thing out tonight so see how quick she gets up there with the 4.10s. Had it to the floor coming to the top of 3rd and it bounces off the rev limiter instead of shifting, left off a little and shifted but if I had the throttle more than half way (while in 4th) it acted like it was still bouncing off a rev limiter? WTF? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Sounds like the 3/4 clutch pack is toast.

A complete trans rebuild, performance one if you can swing it. Price varies too much to quote.

Yes, automatic transmissions use a series of small clutches, and they work just like a manual. When the clutch goes out, shifting gets tricky.

Well, she works good going into 4th at pretty much anything but full throttle. Thanks for the help guys, I already talked with my local performance shop.
