Weather Stripping

Does anyone know of good places to get weather stripping mine just doesn't seem to seal right no leaks but the driver side window just doesn't seal the way i think it should or any tips on how to fix this window just seems to have so much movement that is won't go under the stripping and the bottom right of the window never seems to completely touch it ether

anyone else have this problem

My driver’s window leaks like crazy. I am sure there is something that can be done. I have seen it talked about before but don't remember what was said.

a thick coating of vaseline will help perk up a squished piece of weatherstripping and allow it to seal better. just happens to be a greasy mess sometimes... even after you wipe the excess off...

I think there is an adjustment on the window regulator to adjust the window's height. Apparently the window needs to go a bit higher when you put it up, to get a tight seal. Also get yourself some weatherstrip treatment to keep the seals soft. Go to your local BMW dealer(yes BMW)and head to the parts dept. Ask for an accessory catalog. In the section with vehicle cleaning supplies there is a tube of weatherstrip gel. It retails for about $8.00 or so. When you squeeze some out you will notice is has a consistency of NEOSPORIN or Vaseline. Put a generous coat on all the weatherstrips. I took the small application pad off the tube and apply it with my fingers, rubbing it in well. This has kept my weatherstrips extremely soft and pliable.
